      Loni Hancock: What to Do About Dirty Money?

      A correspondence between Tom Hayden and Senator Loni Hancock (D-CA9):

      An excellent and alarming analysis. We need to reopen the discussion about Public Financing and $$ in Politics. But how?

      Let's discuss.

      Loni Hancock

      Damned if I know. But here’s my thought:

      1. Keep public shaming and discrediting of the Supreme Court over the stolen 2000 election and Citizens United; they are vulnerable;

      2. Keep introducing initiatives and legislation;

      3. Always support disclosure and websites that document interest group donations;

      4. Train a new generation of law students until one of them becomes the Thurgood Marshall of campaign finance reform.
